How to use information gain for ecommerce brand?

Here you have mentioned about finance and B2B industry, but ecommerce works in a different way. People are more aligned towards a specific brand, than top rank brand. Even if brand A is ranking on 1st and brand B on 3rd position, there's a big chance that people click on brand B due to it's reputation.

And if we talk about category page content, most of the brands just write 1000 word article at the bottom even though it makes no sense. So is there any good brand that is doing their category page content well from user POV and still crushing their SEO?

Someone needs to build a research or knowledge base platform, where creators and experts will write about various stuff. The platform can either focus on a specific niche or consolidate various topics under one place. Moreover, the creators will update previous content instead of publishing and spamming users (it is outrageous for a YouTube channel or newsletter blog to have more than 1000 videos/newsletter issues!).

The platform can contain all the details but newsletter issues can act as a notification or summarization of new content being added or updated within the knowledge base. The platform will include actionable playbooks and a community that its users can access. Curation is something that we need to work on, especially in the world of AI. Does that seem impossible?
