In the research for my first Deep Dive into the news industry, I noticed a big difference between news sites like the New York Times and digital publishers. The latter is an important market segment for SEOs to watch: digital publishers occupy the majority of search results for product reviews despite being owned by a few conglomerates. We can learn a lot by observing the top conglomerates and how they compete for search market share.
