Unusual but very pleasant Memo.

Since you mentioned Cal's new book: Did you finish it already? If so, what's your take?

Also, which books by Ryan Holiday did you read and like?

Finally: Did you finish Storyworthy? Lots of book questions haha.

I thought about focus and distractions a lot last year. Stolen Focus by Johann Hari is a great book on the topic. :)

Thanks!

I haven’t read cal newport’s new book yet. Might listen to the audio version. I read only Perennial Seller by Ryan Holiday but read a lot of his blog posts and listened to his podcast.

I finished storyworthy. Definitely good stuff in there. The last third was a bit weak but overall a really good book.

I saw it in a few bookstores over the last weeks. Haven't read anything by Cal yet, only heard of his books a few times.

Agreed on Storyworthy. Despite it being literally about on stage Storytelling there is a lot you can pull from what he says for everyday life. Was the small story at the beginning of your Recommerce talk an idea sparked by the book? :D

Not sparked but def helped :). I’m trying to weave in more stories in general, that’s why I read the book.

This is SO good: "Whenever I get overwhelmed, my brain tells me to open my email inbox and look for a quick dopamine hit. But finding quick tasks and busy work is no achievement. Real impact comes from working through tedious, complex problems."
